Overview
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is Washington, DC’s first new full-service hospital in roughly 25 years, delivering acute and specialty care on the St. Elizabeths East campus in Ward 8. The hospital restores local labor & delivery services east of the Anacostia River, adds adult and pediatric EDs, and brings a verified trauma center to a long-underserved area.
Our Scope
Adonius provided new equipment deployment and dock management, coordinating inbound logistics and just-in-time staging to align with clinical activations and phased department openings.
Community Impact
The hospital’s opening marks a major equity milestone for Wards 7 & 8—expanding access to trauma care, emergency services (including pediatric ED), and reinstating maternity services locally for the first time since 2017. Early operations drew immediate demand, underscoring the region’s need for comprehensive care close to home.
