The Sidra Medical and Research Center in Doha, Qatar is designed to be
a world-class hospital with state-of-the-art clinical services. The facility includes a
600-inpatient bed hospital with 20 operating rooms (4 Hybrid) and 6
interventional labs, 12 labor and delivery rooms, a 50-bed treatment room
emergency department with 100 ambulatory clinic exam rooms. Imaging
facilities include 7 CTs, 5 MRI’s, Intraoperative MRI/CT suite, 8 Digital
Mammography Suites, 8 R/F suites, 4 Chest Rooms, 6 Radiology Rooms, 2
PET Scanners, 6 Nuclear Medicine Cameras, 2 SPECT/CT.
The 400,000 SF Ambulatory Care Clinic frames a historic house, preserving
the heritage of Qatar’s built environment. Directly tied to the main hospital
by bridges on three levels, the clinic building also connects back to the
Weill Cornell Medical College, providing a direct link between education
and practice. The center also includes a 250,000 SF translational research
facility.
